Bring on the Bollywood Musical - Original Cast

Director: Samir Bhamra

Location: Belgrade Theatre, Coventry

'Sohm Kapila is the Bollywood loving Katrina, she captured the torn loyalties between tradition
and progression with conviction . Her dancing and singing was entrancing, with the multifaceted
Ronny Kappor - portrayed by Adam Samuel-Bal - capturing the essence of the unlikely hero' - Annette Nuttall , Coventry Live

Bollywood Zack - Pantomine

Director: Jatinder Verma

Location: Tara Arts Theatre, Enfield London

'My favourite thing about pantomimes is the audience participation, although it has to be
done in the right way. It is a difficult job to make a bunch of adults sing and dance along,
unless you are Sohm Kapila, who plays Zak. When she asked the audience to join her in
a dance and sing along, I was one of many who joyfully put my hands up and sang along
to the ‘Bean Song’.

Silver Street

Location: BBC Asian Network and World Service
Radio Play - 6 years

Producers: James Peries and Deborah Sathé

Silver street was first recorded at the beloved pebble mill studios in Birmingham
which sadly now does not exist but was home to long running shows like The Archers. The Mailbox BBC Studios then became its new home where thousands of episodes were recorded over the span of six years. I played Nadia Akhtar, a bubbly, fierce and ambitious Pakistani young girl who was always challenging her families cultural morals and pushing the boundaries of what was expected of her. The show went on to win many awards with our biggest fan base in Toronto, Canada.
